Pakistanis support Kashmiri struggle as embassy observes solidarity day

RIYADH: About 500 Pakistani expatriates expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir at an event organized by the Pakistani Embassy and attended by various organizations of the community.
Prominent community leaders addressed the gathering in the capital to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day. They highlighted the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.
They condemned the atrocities being committed by the Indian forces in the occupied valley. Photographs depicting the excesses were put on display on this occasion.
The event, held on Feb. 5, was chaired by Pakistan’s Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq who highlighted the violation of human rights in Kashmir.
On behalf of the Pakistani government, Haq lent full support to the Kashmir movement. He said that Kashmiris would win the freedom struggle one day.
The other speakers on this occasion were Shafeeq Maitla, Wasim Sajjad, Tahir Hussain and Rashid Bhatt, Sardar Abdul Basit, Asif Qureshi, Faisal Alvi, Ehsanullah Farooqui, Chaudhury Rafiq, Junaid Abbasi, Reyaz Rathore, Rana Khadim, Hafiz Abdul Waheed, and Sardar Mohammed Razak Khan.
Moreover, a historical perspective of the Kashmir dispute was presented highlighting the brutal use of force against Kashmiri people by the Indian armed forces.
